Nowadays, many people think that the skinnier they are, the more beautiful they become. Therefore, they wish to lose weights until there is nothing left but basically skin draped over bones. Supermodels and celebrities are typical examples of this trend when appearing on television, in magazines, or at fashion shows with “walking skeleton” bodies. They consider themselves to be a hot commodity, and surely plenty of men agree that they are really gorgeous. However, these women do not realize serious problems they must face with, most of which can not be easily resolved. They seem very happy when walking on streets or public events, but inside they are extremely unhealthy and sometimes losing control.

The "walking skeleton” body
It is the big differences of beauty standards between today and over the past 50 years that partly causes this issue. In the 1960's, the average sized model would be around 129 pounds, with a height of 5'7. But now the average model is likely close to 114 pounds, with a height of 5'9. It means the weight has gone down while the height has gone up.

Today, the young children tend to follow what their celebrities do with the aim at improving their beauty. The struggle to be thin can seriously harm a teenager as their body becomes distorted.

However, many owners of skinny bodies have no way to make them fatter because they get strange diseases related to digestion.
