Plan your Training.

Don't go to the gym without planning your training.

You must not immediately start on your reps and training. Do that after you have warmed up.  It only takes you 5-10 minutes to warm up your muscles. If you don't, you will place your muscles at risk from strain and tears. Cardio warm up routines should not be more than 5-10 minutes.  You should warm up each muscle group once.

Appropriate Technique.

Incorrect lifting techniques might put you at risk of injury. When lifting and bending, you must always have a good stance and balance. Bend with your legs and not with your hips when you lift weights from the floor. Good body mechanics can help prevent muscle strain, muscle tears, and damage on tendons and ligaments. The worst injury that you can get when not lifting correctly is a bone fracture. So, lift appropriately.
