Beauty and The Geek

Beauty and The Geek

Fresh from the latest season of Beauty and the Geek, one would understand that the social stereotypes bestowed upon these 2 social groups are not necessary at all.

First, we'll define the terms Beauty and Geek based on this reality TV show. A Beauty is typically one blessed with good looks; a very proportional body one would deem curvy, pretty face, and all the physically good traits along with it. Personality-wise, all beauties come in an extra boost of self-confidence; by "extra", imagine a 20 in a scale of 10. Though, with this stereotype, beauties are vain and are often lack of the substance we have in our skulls.

Geeks, on the other hand, are smart with science, numbers, history, and all the subjects from book which you can name. However, the geeks are socially-challenged, unable to carry themselves in the presence of members of the opposite gender and lack the simple logic when picking a wardrobe.

At the start of the season, both groups were unable to break free from their stereotypes.

Beauties proved again and again that they are only skin deep. As the series progresses, these beauties come to accept the geeks for who they genuinely are deep inside, as a whole and wonderful person. In the end of the series, the geeks gain the confidence they need to be around members of the opposite gender. The beauties discard whatever labels they've initially placed on their geeks.

No matter what stereotype is given to you, you should try to prove the society wrong. As the saying goes, never judge a book by it's cover.
