Then add the essential oils and mix thoroughly. Pour the balm into an airtight jar and store in the refrigerator.

 Body Oil For Normal Skin

25ml sweet almond oil

10ml jojoba oil

10ml evening primrose oil

5ml avocado or wheat germ oil

Mix together thoroughly and then add one of the essence blends.

 Body Oil For Dry Skin

40ml sweet almond oil

5ml jojoba oil

5ml avocado oil

Mix together and add one of the essence blends.

 Daytime Blend of Essences

This is an uplifting blend to promote a calm, positive outlook to the day:

4 drops of Frankincense oil

6 drops of Geranium oil

2 drops of Rose oil

 Bedtime Blend of Essences

This relaxing blend helps encourage a peaceful sleep:

10 drops of Lavender oil

2 drops of Neroli oil

2 drops of Camomile oil

You will see the words DC New Years Eve again in this article, however that will not be the main topic. The main topics of this article are the two things I have done to my body tonight. I painted my fingernails and put a bleaching solution in my hair.

I painted each of my ten fingernails a different color: midnight black, magenta, light blue, dark blue, lime green, dark green, light pink, hot pink, New Years Eve Dance yellow, and fire engine red. I used my sister's nail polish. Before I polished my fingernails, I clipped and filed them, for I wanted them all to look neat and evenly trimmed.

The bleaching solution I put in my hair is called DC New Years Eve. It is a hydrogen peroxide and lemon juice compound meant to lighten the color of hair. I only put it in the bottom layer of my hair. I clipped the top layer of my hair together on the top of my head then I poured the solution onto the bottom layer to soak it.

I brushed it evenly throughout the hair and wrapped it in a towel; I will take the towel off and rinse the solution out in fifteen minutes (after it has been on there for one hour total).

I painted my fingernails tonight because I want them to look pretty when I go to the Professionals in the City seated speed dating and meet my friend party tomorrow night. The reason I lightened my hair is because I decided it was time for something new. I have not colored or dyed my hair in almost two years, so the natural dark brown color that it is has become monotonous.

I am very pleased with the way my fingernails look. The instant gratification of spending ten minutes to paint them and three to let them dry makes me very happy. I hope my hair turns out the way I want it to. If it does, I will probably use the DC New Years Eve lightening solution again soon. If not, I guess it's off to the store for a bottle of hair dye!

One of these categories is the interview which, in the Miss America Pageant, comprises 40% of your total score. In my experience, these are tough interviews during which you are grilled about several topics ranging from current events and political issues, to personal history and opinion. You have to be able to think on your feet, be very aware of the world around you and present your opinions in a way which is both poised and charming. Another heavily weighted portion of the competition is the talent category. Successful Miss America contestants have typically spent countless hours training in their particular area of performance. You cannot just decide one day "Hey, I am pretty, I think that I will try for Miss America". If you are not already well rehearsed in a skill that you could use to compete for talent then you may have missed the boat. Now, let us not forget the swimsuit competition.

The way we look at ourselves has a lot to do with our happiness. If you believe in yourself, see yourself as acceptable, you will have an easier time being you. When you look outside of yourself for acceptance this leads to failure and low self-esteem. We all tend to believe, at one time or another, that if we were just a little more this or a little less that we could be happy. If only your hair was different or your body more like something else. Have you ever wondered what it would be like if you became everything you wished, all the” I should and shouldn’t be this or that” you’ve thought about? Do you see yourself as being happy and content from that moment on? This is not about material things or your profession. This is simply about how you see yourself and about how you think others see you.

We often over-exaggerate our tendencies or our “faults”, and then we look for all the best qu alities in others and wish we had those. Like somehow they would cancel each other out and we would become the perfect person. Is there such a thing? This person you idolize may be thinking the same thing as you, the “if only” thought. The beautiful and true part about all of this is you have the ability to let go of this and see yourself more clearly.

Now one change in your life will not make you happier, everything being altered will not bring contentment. The only thing that will is not on the outside but within you. This may sound corny and unrealistic but it is true. Again imagine everything in your life, a full mental image of your desires for your body and everything about you changing, a complete alteration. Sit with this for a moment, let it become you; visualize how you would feel, where you would be within yourself. Does it feel right, do you sense that perhaps you might keep looking for things to change or get better? Would you possibly still see yourself as not as good as others and still looking for a solution to this? Maybe not, maybe you believe if everything was perfect you could rest and be happy, and maybe for you this is true. But maybe right now, in this moment, you can also find that feeling. Let go, just for now, of the idea that so mething, even if it's small, doesn’t work with how you want to see yourself. The truth is we are who we are. We can become better by releasing negative thoughts and emotions and by being more clear with who we really are. If you believe in your ability to trust and accept yourself for who you are, as you are, you can have peace and contentment within yourself.

You are special and unique, no other is like you, nor do you really want this. All of us are different, each with different qualities. What helps is to see yourself as part of your own destiny right now. You are who you are meant to be just as you are. Your body, your whole person, belongs to you and is perfect as it is. There is more power in accepting yourself than you can imagine. No one else can give this to you. Not even if everyone saw you and agreed you are the perfect person. For who really decides this- you do. Look at yourself for who you really are at this moment. Relax and let yourself envision that you do have everything you need, that right now you are perfect. Let go of seeing yourself as less and see yourself as more, perfect as you are. You have the ability to let go of a bad self-image. You have the power to release any old emotions and thoughts that are negative, to find peace in yourself and acceptance for who you are right now. That should be the true goal. If everyone sought this, perhaps we could all find a little piece of perfection in our lives.

Fourth, you should always make sure that your attitude towards your body and your workout is positive. You will be able to get more accomplished and have a more successful workout if you make sure you are positive about yourself.
